Sundays are my favorite zen days. It’s the one day of the week which I dedicate to “me.” This passion is the force behind my “SPAtacular Sundays!” I devote time to my children, cook, clean and then pamper myself rotten. My favorite beauty tool of choice is Shea Butter (or Argan Oil). You can imagine my excitement when Cleopatra’s Choice Shea Butter brand was featured on Groupon.  The first deal highlighted the 1 lb 100% Pure (unrefined) African Shea Butter. I immediately thought about  the fun recipes I could experiment with. In fact, I can’t wait to try my next Shea Butter beauty experiment.

This Shea Butter is of the finest quality, the perfect soul’U'tion for your skincare needs. So, naturally, I was very excited to get the beauty experiments cracking…

In fact, I became obsessed with fusing together my two favorite natural, super ingredients – Shea Butter and Argan Oil. But why not take it a step further? Why not make the experiment, delicously sweet? Cacao, at its purest, has many hydrating, healing and beautifying properties…need I say more? And then, the innovation of Cashmere Cacao (Chocolate Shea Butter) was instantly a tasty reality. So, for this Thanksgiving holiday, I am going to share my Goddess recipe with you, my loves…

You will need:
*Small sauce pan (purchase one to use exclusively for beauty cooking
*70% or more, pure Dark Chocolate ( Ghiradelli has a great collection, like the 86% Midnight Reverie)
*Raw, organic, unrefined Shea Butter (Cleopatra’s Choice has a great texture, yellow and pure African Shea)
*100% pure Argan oil
(Optional, available at The Body Shop)
*Shea Butter oil
*Chocomania oil (marula oil)
*Cocoa Butter oil
*Stirrer/whisk

Chocolate Shea Butter

Melt all ingredients together in small pan, on a low fire (as to avoid burning the mixture, making it rancid). Start with 2 tbsp of Shea Butter, 1 tsp oils and 4 pieces of chocolate. Stir/whisk slowly…turn fire off and let stand. Once cool enough, pour oil base into storage container. Put in dark, cool place (I place in fridge for approx. 2 hrs)

Safe enough to use from head-to-toe. The dark chocolate leaves a glowing hue, adding vibrant color to skin and hair. The shine is amazing, and the fragrance is deliously alluring.
